I filed my Federal Taxes and State Taxes using TurboTax Online. A few days later I received a notice that my returns were rejected because my name and ssn did not match the database. Turns out I had mistyped one digit on my SSN and not caught it.
I tried to run through the TurboTax Online solution for it but it said that I needed to mail in my taxes.
My problem is how do I correct the error using the online system so that I can get a correct print of my taxes to file by mail?
Or is there a way I can correct my taxes and fix the SSN and refile it by efiling?
Now when I open up my account on TTOnline, it just sends me to the filing page and doesn't let me make any corrections to my personal info to fix my return.
Do I have to file an amended tax return? Here's the text in the error message from Intuit:

If your return was rejected due to incorrect SSN, you can correct and resubmit your return.

Thanks but the online TurboTax would not allow me to update my profile unless I was filing an amended tax return. Since it was rejected, I just created a new login to TT Online and redid my taxes with the correct social security number (I checked my entries carefully) and then was able to successfully file my taxes.
