I purchased turbo tax 2012 and need to amend a return. I filed on line and have a pdf file of my return but I can not find the disk.

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and I no longer have the 2012 disk to use so that I can amend that year's return. can I get a down load version? I think it was home and business.

TurboTax 2012 and older is no longer available in any format, download or CD. Even if you get a CD, the required online updates are no longer available, meaning that there's a good chance your amended return will not be correct. Also, you would need the .tax2012 file, as the TurboTax program from any year can not read a PDF file. You will have to do your amended return by hand, or seek the services of a qualified CPA in your area. Additionally, if your amended return will result in additional refund money being paid to you, the IRS will not pay it because you are past the 3 year limit on that.
