I paid my taxes when I efiled, but I just received a notice that I owe. Is the IRS backlogged or is their a TT glitch where my payment wasn't applied?

Ok ... you are not the first to post about this issue ... so if you have proof the taxes were paid simply provide the IRS the proof ... start by calling the number on the notice ... usually that will do the trick.  Or mail them the proof with a paper response in the mail.
