I need to remove a schedule E under a property. It wants me to input a date but I need to remove it, was a mistake.

Under the Wages & Income tab scroll down to Business Items and elect to start/update Rentals & Royalties Income (SCH E). Select YES to indicate you do want to work on rentals. If you've entered anything there, you'll see it listed with a DELETE button to the right. Click the delete button, then YES to confirm the delete. Then finish working through that section until you click a DONE WITH RENTAL PROPERTY button to return you to the list of items under the Wages & Income tab. Your deletion doesn't stick until you are returned to that list.
