I filed my tax return 2019 on 1/30/20 and it said IRS was accepted by 1/31/20, but then I forgot about my 1095A form so IRS sent me a letter 12C about updating so I did it and mailed 1095A and form 8962 to them on 3/9/20 and it has been 4 weeks that I mailed but I'm not able to check either wheremyrefund or wheremyamend. Also, I read on IRS website that I don't have to file the 1040X if it's only need adding information but on Turbotax, it said It needs to file an amend 1040X if I missing a form (ex 1095SA or W2) so I'm really confused and I don't know what should I do now since IRS closes telephone live assistance and local offices now.
Thanks

I'm sorry to hear that your refund is being held up, but it sounds like you have done all that you can do, and the next action is up to the IRS.
When the IRS sends you correspondence like the 12C letter, the best thing you can do is respond and send them what they want.
Unfortunately, it takes them awhile to process it.
You do not want to file an amended return in this situation, since they initiated the correspondence. An amended return at this point would slow things up further.

Thank you for your response to my question. I sent them back by mail and tried to fax also in case but the phone number is busy. I'm so confused about the amended when I did the edit by Turbotax, because the only way they let me add my 1095A to file 8962 form is clicking to the amended option and it came out at the end with 1040X but I didn't send it along with the forms that IRS needed.
Thank you so much. I feel so calm when I read your response.
