TurboTax does not and has not ever offered an upgrade for their software from one tax year to the next tax year. Each tax year is a separate TurboTax program.

Just trying to understand. What did you do? Did you try to order from inside the 2018 program? And end up buying a higher version for 2018 like Premier or Home & Business?
Yes you have to buy a full new program each year.
I accidentally ordered the wrong software. I need to file taxes for 2018, but I ordered the windows version but I need the version for mac. Please assist.
