When you amend a prior year return you ONLY use the app ... nothing will show online.
Now do you mean your return was never efiled and accepted ? Or did you mail in the return ? When you mail in the return TT is never told if the return was ever processed by the IRS ... it will always show as Printed or Mail in.
If you did not efile successfully OR mail in the return then you have nothing to amend. Make any corrections needed and print, ink sign and mail in the return. Ignore the 1040X in the program you are using and simply send the 1040 plus any forms/schedules as directed on the filing instructions printed with the return.
It was filled and accepted through the app. However when I open it up to amend it, it says I have to on turbo.com. When I open turbo.com it says there's no return to amend.
It's common to end up with multiple accounts. First LOG OUT of whatever TurboTax account you're logged into right now. Then use this TurboTax account recovery website to get a list of user ID's for an email address. Run the tool against any email addresses you may have used

If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online.
