I made automatic quarterly payments toward this year's taxes but see no accounting of it. Can you help me figure this out before I file my taxes? Thank you.

Are you asking about Federal or State estimated quarterly taxes, or both?   And what do you mean by "automatic" payments?

Both, I think. I gave my routing and account numbers.

I am in California. When I download my copy of my returns from Turbo Tax it shows where they have my bank account numbers to autopay my taxes on certain dates.

I'm just a fellow user. I posted your thread in a backroom where some people from TurboTax will see it today. They are not open in the middle of the night.

When I asked about Fed and State above, you said above "Both, I think."   Can you please verify it was both Federal and State?

Do you need to enter estimated payments you made?  You said you "made quarterly payments"
Or do you want to pay the current tax due in installments?
Or do you want to set up estimated payments for your next year's 2017 return?

Where on your return does it have your bank account numbers and say autopay?  The last page of the CA 540 page 5 has a spot for bank numbers but that looks like just for getting your refund.

Estimated Taxes - click the Start or Update button

When you make estimated tax payments, you have to enter that total amount yourself, It is done in the Estimated Taxes section of TurboTax.
