If you can't get the side menus to open up to access the prior year..... You need to start entering some basic Personal Info in 2022 for the side menu to open up. Just continue a little ways into 2022. I had to go though about 12 screens.
If you used the Desktop CD/Download program then the only copy is on your computer and not saved or stored online. So you need to make and keep your own backups.

If you filed your return for 2021 with Turbo Tax, you will go to tax home and scroll down to the 2021 tax return. Click on 2021 and then you will see amend my return. Click on that and follow the prompts.

If you did not do your taxes with Turbo Tax, it is best to go back to the software or professional that did your return and have them amend your return. There is a way to enter everything again in Turbo Tax if you don't want to do that but it can be complicated. Call us for assistance.

The most recent 1040-X is called a "forever form"
you write in the tax year you are amending.
