We'd love to help you complete your tax return, but need more information. Can you please clarify your question?
There are several types of form 1098. And there are almost two dozen types of Form 1099.
Which ones are you referring to?
Why did you file the tax return if the forms were not entered?
I was wondering that too, cause I just filed mine as welland I wondered why it didn't ask about it.
@ARPZ If you are sitting at the keyboard, preparing your tax return, and you are wondering if it is going to "ask" for something you think you should enter-----why would you go ahead and e-file without asking questions first----here in the user forum?
Which Form 1098 and 1099 were you needing to enter? Knowing this information would help us assist you in adding this information to your return.
I have 2 1098s for mortgage interest. I claimed both last year but there was nowhere to enter them today. I was also not asked about property taxes, which I'm pretty sure we've entered before. The whole website is just really different and confusing. I'm tempted to try someone else, after 10 years-ish of using turbo tax.
If you are using TurboTax Online, get into the return (click edit or "Pick up where I left off"
Select "Deductions & Credits" on the left side-bar
Select "Your Home" on the screen
Select "Mortgage Interest and Refinancing (Form 1098)" to enter mortgage interest
Select "Property (Real Estate) Taxes" to enter to enter property tax paid
Thank you! I'll do that tomorrow.
I had to click "see all tax breaks" and then it showed.
