I hadn't filed for 5 years so will i get my stimulus check
I hadn't filed my fedral taxes in 5 years but as of last week I completed all 5 years none of which did I owe. I know I only will get a refund for the last 3 years. I had to mail in all 5 years paper file and on a couple my ex claimed my son when she wasnt supposed to. So I also sent the proof by sending our divorce decree showing the IRS I'm the one to claim him. Since there will obviously be an investigation done before I will be granted my refund how am I to make sure I'm to get my stimulus check due to however long it takes before the irs accepts my 2015- 2019 taxes ? Thanks

The IRS may process your return but deny the dependent claim until they have time to investigate it. If that happened, they would adjust your tax accordingly and reduce your refund or ask you to pay in tax, as the case may be.
You have until the end of 2020 to receive your stimulus check, so they should have processed the return by then in any case. So, you may not get your check immediately, but you should get it by the end of the year as a worst case scenario.

In the best of times, it can take weeks or months for the IRS to sort out issues related to dependents claimed on more than one return. In the time of the Coronavirus, it may take considerably longer.
That said, you did yourself a tremendous favor by attaching your divorce decree to your returns. That could shorten -- or even eliminate -- any investigation that the IRS feels compelled to do. It's possible you could get your refund (and stimulus check) much more quickly.
