My NYS return status says my return may require further review? What does this mean. It seems very vague.

My status has changed to"Information about this return is not available using this service. Please call ..." I am assuming this is NOT good

It happen to me they wanted me to send a copy of my w2. I did it online before letter came. When the letter came and I try about a week later it said. I'm unavailable to use the online service ... Which is a bunch of bs. I have not yet mailed or faxed it and my status changed now to processing w no avabile info. They same as everyone else last week. They are making ppl wait longer this year

So after switching from may require further review to processing, my latest status is call this number, and I did and they're sending a letter asking for additional info like a W-2! After I send what they ask for the message said allow 90 day for processing after that! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Same here,, filed feb. 7th and was accepted the same day, last week i get the message to call, i did and they want my w2, same job same kid for years.. i uploaded it, without waiting for the letter.. i wonder how much longer

i got the same message... Didn't have too verify anything....we should get DDD THIS WEEK...FILED FEB 7th accepted same day...got my fed on the 22nd..went from being processed to calling a 518 number...called everyday and not only did they adjust my refund took away empire credit saying my kids had no relations too me...but when he looked it up in the system it was not asking for any documents...he ran they social again and boom they all matched(they better had i birthed them)..so im owed from last year  as well...JUST RUN US OUR MONEY PLEASE!!! I WILL BE CALLING AGAIN THIS MORNING AS SOON AS THEY OPEN.

I filed on January 29th. I received a further review message. Didn't change to processing until February 27th. (Received federal on 2/28) still waiting (today is 3/19) for my dd. Or even ddd!! If NYS would be a little more detailed in their message system, maybe I wouldn't be as frustrated!! & why did I pay the extra amount for a quicker return?? Absolutely insane!!

I got accepted Feb 20, two weeks ago said " May require further review than normal time " last week and still this week says " processing no further information needed " what does that mean a good thing or bag thing its been a month!

That sounds like a good thing. Mine went from further review to we sent you a letter requiring additional information and I still haven't gotten the letter.
