I got a letter from the irs saying they were reviewing my taxes and it could take 60 days..it has been over 60 days and I still havent received my federal. How can I find out what's going on?

So, we are left in the Dark? I live in NY state my husband is on social security. I make minimum wage, hours cut at work because of virus. This is soooo not fair. I appreciate the fact that they are preventing identity theft but my family is suffering here. I work hard all year and look forward to this refund to stock my freezer, buy clothes, etc.
