I filed on 1/29/18 and got a CP74 letter on 9/24/18... it’s 10/24/18 and I still haven’t received my taxes... I called and they said I have to wait 6 full weeks

We are now in January and I still haven’t got my refund.

Have you called the number on the notice to ask?

You'll probably have trouble reaching them during the government shutdown, but can't hurt to try.

If you don't get good info or results from the IRS, you can contact the IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service and ask for their help.   As you'll see in the Tax Topic link that I provided below, one of their criteria for enlisting their services is "You've tried repeatedly to contact the IRS but no one has responded, or the IRS hasn't responded by the date promised."

At the following IRS website, find the USA map and click on your state, and it will give you the number of your IRS Taxpayer Advocate.
