I filed electronically with TurboTax and the recording says that it doesn't see a refund for me and I am getting 233.00 back from the state of South Carolina

Your state tax return won't begin to be processed until your federal return has been accepted.  Additionally, the states typically take a bit longer to issue a refund.  But you can track your state tax refund by using the info linked below.
