You should check your e-file status (if you e-filed) to see if your return was accepted

https://turbotax.intuit.com/tax-tools/efile-status-lookup/

If your return was accepted, you can check the status of your Federal refund on the IRS website, Where's My Refund

https://www.irs.gov/refunds

If you have a State refund & your State return has been accepted, you can check the status of your refund on your States website

https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/refund-status/help/how-do-i-track-my-state-refund/00/25571

If it shows Ready to mail, "Ready to mailmeans that you did not e-file and that your tax return is waiting for you to print, sign and mail it yourself. ... TurboTax does not mail your return for you.

If it does state ready to mail, you can choose to switch to e-file.

To change from mail to e-file a return:

  1. In TurboTax Online, sign into your account.
  2. Scroll to "your tax returns & document". select "Add a State" (dont worry, a state will not be added and you wont be charged)
  3. Select File in the left menu.
  4. On the Just one more step screen, follow steps 1 and 2 if you haven't already.
  5. Select the Start button to the right of Step 3.
  6. On the Let's get ready to e-file screen, select I want to e-file.
  7. Follow the instructions to e-file your return.
