When you chose to pay your TurboTax fees from your federal refund you also signed an agreement that says if you do not get the refund or even if it takes the IRS too long to issue your refund, TurboTax can take the fees out of your bank account. You will receive several emails before that happens---but that is how TT will get paid.

Yeah I know I signed that . I didn’t remember exactly how much I owed to the irs so I thought I would get something back . I just wasn’t sure if they’ll just take their fees “ whenever “ but my irs online account was credited the amount past due
@Murphmcsmurf The IRS will be sending you a letter to explain what they did with your refund, and they will explain whether your back taxes have now been fully paid.
As for the TurboTax fees, you will get some emails and will need to take care of paying the fees yourself.
