I did my 2024 return through turbo tax and I haven’t received the refund yet! I’ve been jerked around by the IRS and I was wondering when does turbo tax step in and help?

I paid to get my taxes done by turbo tax! You took your fee out of my account but I haven’t received my refund or assistance with the IRS! Where’s your help or policy

Sorry---TurboTax receives no information after you file your tax return.   TT cannot "step in" with the IRS for you.

  Your only source of information about your tax refund is the IRS.

First, check your e-file status to see if your return was accepted:

Once your federal return has been accepted by the IRS, only the IRS has any control.  TurboTax does not receive any updates from the IRS. Your ONLY source of information about your refund now is the IRS.

You need your filing status, your Social Security number and the exact amount  (line 35a of your 2024 Form 1040) of your federal refund to track your Federal refund:

If Turbo Tax took the fees out of your account then the IRS got your efile and is taking too long to send the refund.   The IRS either hasn’t finished processing your return or changed it.  Only the IRS can tell you what happened to your refund.
