There is no "status" per se. It will take a least a week due to being mailed before anyone will look at it. You can check your progress with the IRS link below. The process will be slow, not as fast as when you e-file.

Has anyone filed there taxes and 2 years in a row, turbotax says Illinois has accepted the return, but IL is saying they have not received anything?
