I already filed my taxes and my unemployment was taxed. Now I am reading that up to $10000 shouldn't have been taxed. Will I get that back? Do I need to amend my return?

If you have already filed, IRS will re-calculate your taxes and send you the refund. You do not need to amend.

As far as Michigan, it will be conforming to the American Rescue Plan (ARP) and the taxation of unemployment compensation. The TurboTax program has been updated. You can go ahead and finish and file your state return.

My taxes have not been amended and I just got a letter from the IRS I owe the full amount and now it has penalties and interest due.
