I put could not be claimed as a dependent on my tax return. I do live with my mother and I am 20 years old. I already did my return, but she is getting cheated out of a good portion of money on hers, what can we do?

Are you a full time student?  If you weren't then she can not claim you if you made over $4,050.

If she can claim you then she will have to mail her return this year and you need to mail in an Amended 1040X return to fix yours.

I was a full time student during the year of 2016 but I also made over $4,050. My mother already submitted her return without claiming me. Is their anyway we can still fix his issue even though we have both filed now?
