Hello,
I know how to download last year's completed return, but I wanted to see the details of my deductions from last year. Is that possible? Thank you
You'll need to sign in or create an account to connect with an expert.
You have to access your own account and/or print it for yourself using exactly the same account and user ID that you used when you prepared the return.
Start a 2023 return online and enter some personal information so that the menu on the left opens up and lets you access your past year returns.
Many people have multiple TT accounts and forget how to access them. Log out of the account you are in now.

Or did you use the desktop version of TurboTax? If so, the files are on your own hard drive or any backup device you used like a flash drive.

You can get a free transcript from the IRS or for a fee of $43, an actual copy of your tax return.

Thank you. I know how to access the final tax return document. I wanted to view the details of my deductions from last year (not just the lump sum line item on the final return).
Scroll through the forms and schedules and worksheets that are part of the pdf.
Thank you so much for your fast response. I'm specifically looking for what I paid in property taxes, but am not seeing that itemized on the forms. Can you tell me where that one number would be? I only see a lump sum of all deductions. I appreciate it.
Look for Schedule A. And remember that the SALT (state and local taxes) deduction is capped at $10,000 no matter how much you entered.
Thank you very much. There is no Schedule A (only B), so I'm assuming that's because the standard deduction was higher than my itemized? Thank you!
