How to amend 2022 tax return with turbo tax. I have just received a 1099R (correction).

I look at my desktop software of turbotax 2022 , I didn't see the option to amend. I login to my online account , I do not see my 2022 tax return (as some web article suggested).

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

Start your 2022 TurboTax desktop program.  On the tax return you want to amend click on Continue.

Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home & Business)

Click on Other Tax Situations

Under Other Tax Forms

On Amend a return, click on the start button

if my return had a low chance of an audit will filing an amended return spike an audit?

Not necessarily.  They will take a bit of an extra look at your amended return but it doesn't mean they will audit you.
