How do I print my 2022 tax files if they're not available under the Online Tax Home because I had to complete my filing through the mail?

Turbo Tax is prompting me to pay to download the 2022 edition because the filing ended in October.  I already used Turbo Tax to do and file 2022 on time but I had to submit through the mail.  My spouse had was applying at the time so it wouldn't let me save the option that it had been submitted through the mail.  It just kept on giving me an error.  Now I'm stuck.  What do I do?  How can I get access to my 2022 taxes?  Do I have to pay for the download even though I already paid for the online access?

@jmacias1 If you told the program in the File section that you would be mailing the return, it should be available for you to download assuming you are using the exact same User ID that was used to create the online account when you sign back on to the account.

 

For this problem it would be best for you to contact TurboTax support for assistance in accessing your 2022 online return.

Support is open from 5am to 5pm Pacific time, Monday thru Friday

To access your 2022 online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the User ID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

 

Scroll down and click on the section Your tax returns & documents.  Click on the Year and Click on Download/print return (PDF)

 

If you used the desktop CD/Download editions installed on your computer, the only copy of your tax data file and any PDF's will be on the computer where the return was created.  TurboTax does not store online any returns completed using the desktop editions.

That doesn't work.  It's not letting me access it at all because nothing populates.  This is my first year with Turbo Tax.

 

My problem is that I can't access the return I already finished.  My problem is that Turbo Tax Online never acknowledged that I turned it in to the IRS via mail.  Turbo Tax Online kept prompting me for an error.  That error was my spouse's lack of tax ID.  I had to manually print it and mail it.  I could still get copies until mid October when Turbo Tax phased out 2022 Online.

 

Does anyone know a work around?

Or is it looking like I have to buy Turbo Tax Desktop 2022 version to access it?

Should I call tech support?

I tried but the assistant wasn't understanding what I wrote.  She said I couldn't open it on Turbo Tax Desktop 2022 because I hadn't bought it.  I know that.  She suggested I clear my browsing.  Log out of everything.  Make sure I'm not logged in 2 places at once.  I'm not.  I only use this computer.  I didn't clear Chrome but I did use Edge and cleared that one.  Still nothing.

To solve this problem, the agent has to give you a free desktop version of the online version you already paid.

 

This will only work if you've already paid for the online version but missed the online filing.  From there, download the tax file as prompted.  Install it and use the activation code the agent will send you.

 

The reason for this is after October 16th, a new tax season begins.  In my case, though we're still in *calendar year* 2022, Turbo Tax itself is already in *tax year* 2023.

 

If your agent doesn't want to give you one or isn't understanding what you're saying try hanging up and getting another agent.  My last rep was absolutely great and got what I said right away.
