To solve this problem, the agent has to give you a free desktop version of the online version you already paid.

 

This will only work if you've already paid for the online version but missed the online filing.  From there, download the tax file as prompted.  Install it and use the activation code the agent will send you.

 

The reason for this is after October 16th, a new tax season begins.  In my case, though we're still in *calendar year* 2022, Turbo Tax itself is already in *tax year* 2023.

 

If your agent doesn't want to give you one or isn't understanding what you're saying try hanging up and getting another agent.  My last rep was absolutely great and got what I said right away.
