Why do you want to? as long as you have the PDF file from 2013 of the actual tax return, why would you want more than that? even if you had the CD, you would not have any of the updates and those are probably no longer available from the Turbo Tax website.
Updates and/or support are no longer available for 2013. And it is also unlikely that the 2013 software would run on a newer computer. even if you could find the CD on eBay, etc.
TurboTax only sells software going back as far as 2019. (And 2019 will be gone in a few months.)
What do you want to do with 2013? The IRS only saves tax returns for seven years.
if 2013 is installed on the old hard drive and you are technically profocent in computer operations, you could move the old drive to the new computer and create a dual boot machine. search the internet for ways to do this. no guarantee this will work and be careful since you do not want to damage the new one.
Can you access the old computer at all? If you don't have the PDF file do you have the data file ending in .tax2013? If you have the .tax2013 file you could try the TaxPrinter service to convert a .tax file to pdf at
https://www.taxprinter.com
They might be expensive and it is probably not safe to email tax returns back and forth. They are not related to Turbo Tax. I don't know if they can do State.
Or why do you need 2013 on the new computer?
TO MOVE TURBO TAX TO A NEW COMPUTER Are you on Windows or Mac?
For Windows. Your tax files end in .tax or starting in 2008, .tax2008, .tax2020, .tax2021, .tax2022 etc. They should be in your Documents in a Turbo Tax folder. You should also have the pdf files of each year. Or search your computer for all files ending in .tax. Also if you haven't done it, I would open each year in the program and save it as a pdf file, go to FILE - SAVE TO PDF so you don't need the program installed to view your return.
What I would do on the old computer, is copy the whole Turbo Tax folder that is under your Documents. That should be where the .tax files and pdf files are stored. Also if you haven't done it, I would open each year in the program and save it as a pdf file, go to FILE - SAVE TO PDF so you don't need the program installed to view your return. Copy that folder to a flash drive or best yet is to burn it to a CD or DVD and then you will have a backup of them. Then on the new computer copy the folder (or files) from the flash drive to your Documents folder.
You only need the tax return data file ending in .tax2021 to transfer into 2022 or .tax2022 to transfer into next year. You don't need to install older programs unless you need to amend or you didn't save the pdf file.
