How do i make sure my owed taxes were paid?

 If you have federal tax due you can pay by mailing your payment with the 1040V voucher, (which has the address printed on it, having the payment taken out of a designated bank account, or you can pay directly on the IRS website.

You must pay your state tax due using the state’s preferred method of receiving payment.  For most states that will be by making a payment to the state’s own tax website, or by mailing a check or money order.

I scheduled a payment through Turbo Tax.  It did not come out on the specified date and still has not.  Even more scary Turbo Tax does not show anywhere that a payment was actually made (and/or that it is processing).  It's simply not a feature as far as I understand from speaking with Specialists.  Who can we speak with to get a record of the payment submission?

You would need to follow the instructions here to contact the IRS, and they can verify if they show a payment arranged. @cobra7869

I am having the same issue, paid last night through turbo tax and nothing is showing on my credit card. I also paid the turbo tax fees with the same credit card and even though turbo tax showed me a receipt for the fees I still don't see it reflected on my credit card.

I'm having an issue where my payment was took but no reflection on the turbo tax portal that I paid it. My bank statement shows they took it.

TT does not update after your return has been accepted.  Your account will always show the result of the return you prepared using the software.  TurboTax never knows if you received your refund —or how, when or even if you paid tax due.  Your proof that you paid your tax will be your own bank/credit card records.
