How do I know if I have sent my form correctly and not just saved it

There are a couple ways you can check

  • Log into your account online.
  • Look on the left hand side of the page for Federal and State filing status.
  • If they say "Pending" it means you have E-filed but are waiting for them to be accepted
  • If they say "Accepted" then you are good to go
  • If "rejected" then you need to go back into return and fix whatever error you are prompted to fix
  • If it says "Incomplete" it means you did not E-file yet
  • If it says "ready to file" you have completed your return but not e-filed yet.

If "incomplete"  you should be asked if you want to go back into your return, and take you to the appropriate section.

If "ready to file" click on "File" tab and let it step you through e-filing or print and file.
