Was your return Accepted? You can't change it. If the bank rejects the deposit the IRS will mail a check to the address on your return. If your efile rejects you can change it when you go though the FILE tab again.
how did you change your direct deposit informations
Did you already e-file? If you did NOT e-file you can go to the FILE section and change how you want to receive your refund. If you want direct deposit you need the routing number and your own account number.
You cannot change banking information while your return is in pending, nor can you change it after the return is accepted. The IRS does not allow it.
If you e-filed:
Banking information for direct deposit is wrong
If you entered incorrect banking information for your refund, you can change it if your return is rejected. If it is accepted, however, it is too late to change it. The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS. Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return. Expect a delay of at least a couple of weeks to receive your refund.

How do I change my bank account number after I have already filed
Sorry it's too late. If the bank rejects your deposit the IRS will mail a check to the address on your return.
We e-filed two tax returns and they both were accepted, however they both had checking accounts at the same bank so routing numbers were the same. But the two account numbers they had were put on each others accounts.. How can we get this straighten out any help you can give us is appreciated
@Slufka Did the bank accept the deposits or send them back since the names on the deposits did not match the accounts? If they sent it back to the IRS then the IRS will issue paper checks and mail them to the address on your tax return. If you were using the third party bank to deduct your TT fees from your refund then it went to that bank, which will have to mail checks .
Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.
You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

I inadvertently use the wrong checking account for paying my 2021 Taxes so the routing number and account numbers are wrong. How do I correct this since I have already e-filed my taxes?
