How do I change my bank account number on my tax refund
How do I change bank account number on my taxes
If you are receiving a refund, there isn't a way to do this. If the account is closed, the payment will be returned and the IRS will mail a check to the address on the tax return.
If you are making a payment to the IRS you can cancel the payment and schedule a new one by calling e-file payment services at 1-888-353-4537.
My taxes have not been accepted by the IRS - why can't I can my bank account information
Unfortunately, once the tax returns have been transmitted you will need to wait until they are either accepted or rejected by the IRS. If they are rejected you will be able to change the direct deposit information if they are accepted and you entered an incorrect bank account or your account is closed the IRS will mail you a refund check.

@Jones42 Once you submit your return for processing, you will not be able to update any banking information. If you fear that you may have entered the wrong account number, the following FAQ will advise you on what to expect: What if I entered the wrong bank account for direct deposit?
Yes
Once the return has been accepted, you cannot change any banking information on the return.
If you entered the incorrect number, the IRS will issue you a check by mail.
How to change my bank information
Unfortunately, once your return has been accepted, it's too late to change direct deposit bank account information. If the information provided is for a closed or invalid account the government will mail you a refund check at the address on your tax return.
I have already received my 2020 Tax refunds but I need to update my banking direct deposit information so I can receive the third stimulus check. Can this be done?
No, this can not be done since you have already filed.
As ReneeM7122 said, it's too late to change direct deposit bank account information. If the information provided is for a closed or invalid account, the government will mail you a check at the address on your return.
