The amended return form 1040X won't be ready until late February. And you have to wait until the IRS is done processing your return and you get the first refund or pay the tax due.
I'm in a similar place. I filed last night for state and federal, then today, I received a 1099-DIV that came in the mail and was not downloadable from broker site. I tried the amend link but it says, that is not ready until February 15. Did others have the same issue or is there a different way to amend the return?
