How can I tell if my return was actually accepted by the IRS? I have conflicting information from Turbo Tax.

My return was originally rejected, I corrected the error and resubmitted. I have a notice the return was accepted, hours later I got an email from Turbro Tax the return was rejected. What do I do?

You can check that your return was received by the taxing authority using these instructions: Check the Electronic Postmark of your Return. Pay close attention to the separate lines for Federal and State. They are separate statuses.
