Haven't received taxes.

I filed my taxes in February and it says my refund was sent to my bank on the IRS website. The IRS website says if I don't receive my funds to contact my tax preparer. When I call turbotax it says there is no taxes found that were filed for the last tax year. I was able to get through to turbotax ONE TIME to see why I haven't been mailed my taxes yet. They said there was an issue with my bank account and that the funds were being mailed to me. I was told that in May. It is now August and I still haven't received my funds. I don't understand why and how am I supposed to go about finding out when they are going to be mailed if when I call it says there is no history of me even filing my taxes??????

@Masseyal18 - did you request your turbo tax fees be netted out of your refund?

Haven't received taxes.

Did you use a wrong or closed bank account for your direct deposit?

If you chose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your federal refund, then the deposit goes back to the third party bank that handles refund processing, and that third party bank will mail you a check.   It will come in a plain envelope via first class mail so make sure you open all mail and do not assume anything is junk mail without opening it.

Your tax refund was not sent to TurboTax.   TurboTax does not handle your refund at all.

Santa Barbara Tax Products Group, LLC  (SBTPG) is the bank that handles the Refund Processing Service when you choose to have your TurboTax fees deducted from your refund. This option also has an additional charge from the bank that processes the transaction.

You can contact them SBTPG, toll-free, at 1-877-908-7228 or go to their secure website www.sbtpg.com

Haven't received taxes.

Yes i did

Haven't received taxes.

If you elected to have your Turbotax fees deducted from your refund, then your refund was sent to SBTPG, which opened a bank account in your name.  Turbotax gave the account number of the new account to the IRS, not your original account.  SBTPG is supposed to receive the money in your temporary account, subtract the fees, and send the rest to your original account.

I'm puzzled that you can't find a record of your tax return on Turbotax, you may be looking under the wrong account name.  Did you file with the online program or the program installed on your own computer?  We can help you troubleshoot this problem separately if you want.

As far as your refund, if the IRS "where's my refund" web site says your refund was paid to "your bank" but you used refund transfer, then "your bank" means SBTPG.    Your next step is to call SBTPG.  In some cases, they need to verify the taxpayer's information before forwarding the money.  If they can't do this, sometimes they return the deposit to the IRS and the IRS is supposed to mail a paper check to the address you used on your tax return (did you use your correct address?)

Your next step is to call SBTPG and find out where your refund balance is.
