I no longer have a dependent child so I answered no to the child tax credit. Last year I did answer yes but he is no longer a dependent. Is this going to be a problem on my 2021 return

Did you also get Advance Child Tax Credit Payments?

If so, did the program ask about that?

He is too old so I did not claim him this year.

It is not a problem as long as you did not receive any Advance Child Tax Credits in 2021.
