Filing an amendment for 2018-downloading desktop version

I found the following link for filing 2018 amendment

This is helpful but I filed by 2018 taxes via the web version of turbotax and this article says that I'll need a desktop version to file an amendment. I paid for the deluxe (web) version while filing in 2018. Is there a way I could download the 2018 desktop version free of cost? Asking this because turbo has advertised that amendments should be fileable free of cost.

The only option for amending your 2018 tax return is to purchase the 2018 TurboTax CD/Download software. TurboTax Online only supports amending for tax years 2019-2021. You are welcome to call TurboTax Customer Support to see to discuss the cost of the software. In this public forum, we do not have access to your personal account information.
