It can take a few weeks to have your tax return approved. Most refunds are issued by the IRS, within 21 calendar days of acceptance with a few exceptions.

This article will give you more information on a pending return.

What does "Pending" mean?

Here's more refund information.

When will I get my IRS tax refund?

Akina I understand what pending is buy what I am trying to explain to you is I have no offset and I am not talking about approved I am talking about accepted. How can you all charge fees and not be willing to even look and see if it is a issue. When I filed on 2/12/2020 the system was having some issues because I had to log out at least 3 times before I could do the final file. With it pending can I file with another compnay. I have never had a issue before with turbo tax but I think this is insane and will use another method next year.

You should not file through another company, that will only create problems.  As you know pending simply means that your return has been sent and the IRS has yet to accept it or reject it.  On average this process can take about 48 hours, but it can take longer and that doesn't necessarily mean there is anything wrong.  Once you transmit (e-file) that return, it's the same as dropping it in a mailbox at the post office, it's now under the control of the IRS.  Just keep checking Where's my Refund .  They update the site everyday, Monday-Friday (Business Days, not holidays).

This is more information about the process that your return is going through:

Pending: https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4193097

Accepted (this is the last update that TurboTax will get from the IRS): https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/3958820

Processing (the IRS does not inform TurboTax of this stage.  Keep checking Where's my Refund): https://ttlc.intuit.com/replies/4689484

Approved (TurboTax is also not informed of this stage):  https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/return-status/help/does-accepted-mean-my-refund-is-approved/00/265...

We are not able to track that @saachamur.   As I mentioned in the previous post we do not have access to your account or your returns.  Keep in mind that you are just today hitting the 48 hour mark and with the weekend and a holiday on Monday, things could move a little slower than at other times.  There are 1000s of returns submitted everyday and we are still in the time period where the IRS is trying to clear the backlog from returns that were submitted on the first filing day of 1/27/2020.   Patience is the key here and knowing that if there were to be a problem, the IRS will let you know what it is and what needs to be done about it.
