call the IRS to find out what happened. Turbotax never receives any updates.

1. Call 1-800-829-1040 between the hours of 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM local time.
2. Press “1” for English or “2” for Spanish.
3. Press “2” for “answers about your personal income taxes.”
4. Press “1” for “questions about a form you have already submitted or a payment or to order a tax transcript.”
5. Press “3” for “all other questions about your tax history or payment.”
6. Press “2” for “all other questions about your tax history or payment.”
7. Do not input your Social Security Number when the recording tells you to.
8. Press “2” for “personal- or individual-tax related question.”
9. Press “3” for “all other inquiries.”
10. Wait to be connected to someone at the IRS.

Filed in 2017 with TurboTax and never got my money

"filed in 2017.."    What tax year are you asking about?  The tax year people would have "filed" in 2017 would have been for 2016, the tax year that had ended on December 31, 2016.  Or do you mean you prepared a tax return for tax year 2017-----and filed it in 2018?     Either one----why have you waited so many years to ask here about it?    At some point since filing that tax return, did you try contacting the IRS?      What does it say in your TurboTax account?  Does your account show that a return was accepted?  Or does it say something else---like "rejected," "printed" or "ready to mail?"   If the return was rejected or never filed by e-filing or by mail, it is now too late to get a refund from that long ago. The refund has been forfeited.

Does your online account with the IRS show that you filed?   Or does the IRS have a transcript of a return that you filed back then?

You can get a free transcript from the IRS.
