The IRS is saying that my return hasn't been processed but it was accepted 2/27/21, they are saying I missed the deadline. Is anyone else having this issue?

Yes, I have the same message - and if I look at payments, it even shows the receipt of my payment.
OK ... it was ACCEPTED for PROCESSING and it will take time to process until the refund is APPROVED for release then a date of release will be posted and later the confirmation that the payment was sent will be posted.
I am not getting a refund and it's been almost 2 months, but it still says that my tax return hasn't been processed. This is affecting my receipt of the COVID impact payment.
I'm not due a refund, what I'm concerned about it that it was accepted in February but the IRS is saying I missed the deadline to file.

If you are not due a federal tax refund then there will not be any status for your tax return on the IRS website - https://www.irs.gov/refunds
You would have to contact the IRS and speak with an agent for the status of your tax return -
When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 3 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don't enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
Then press 4 for all other inquiries
It should then transfer you to an agent.
@Critter-3 No to both, I was going to set up a payment arrangement and when I logged on to IRS.gov that was the message I got. That my refund hasn't been processed and I've missed the deadline to file. But if it was accepted in Feb why are they saying I've missed the deadline?
