Expecting 887$ now I owe 513$

So I’ve called several numbers, they transferred me to the IRS. Once I called the IRS I was told that I now owe 513$ and I was unable to talk to a person as “all the lines were busy call tomorrow” I’m absolutely fuming, turbo tax has done me wrong, my return was accepted by the irs and I was supposed to get it by March 12. I need help please if anyone knows how to help me please please please help me. I can’t afford to pay 500 dollars and I really could’ve used 900$, I have no clue what turbo tax has done wrong, but my information that I put in was all correct, I took a picture of my w2 s and double checked the information was correct. I wasn’t claimed as a dependent, someone please help. Is turbo tax just taking all my money what’s going on?

TurboTax calculates the amount of your refund, or additional taxes owed based on the information that you entered into the program. When the IRS and/or your state receives the returns, they compare what is on the return to what they have in their system for you.

When they make adjustments to your return it is to account for the difference in what was reported on the return and what they are showing in their system.

You can call the IRS and speak to a tax representative about what was changed on the return and why.

Do you have the missing $1,400 on 1040 line 30?  That is for the 3rd Stimulus payment that came out in March - May 2021.  Did you get that?  Check your bank account.  The IRS shows they already sent you the 1,400.  You tried to claim it again.  Line 30 is only if  you didn't get the full amount or qualify for more.  Not the amount you already got.  

If you didn't get the 3rd Stimulus check but the IRS shows they sent it to you then request a trace for a missing third Stimulus payment

Yes actually I think you are right 513+887 would be =1400, is there a way to fix this so I don’t owe the extra 513 because I thought the stimulus was like a grant in the since you don’t have to pay it back? How can I fix my filing so it can fix it? I feel as tho I should still get a return after fixing that as I’ve always gotten, I’m a waitress so my whole check goes toward my taxes. Please help me !!

Sorry there is nothing you can do or fix.  It was added on line 30 as a credit but the IRS had already sent it to you.  It is not taxable and you are not paying it back. You tried to get it again twice.  Don't know why you ended up owing this year.  You should compare all the other lines on your return with last year. Maybe your withholding went down.
