Efile sign and da

To sign my federal tax form, do i use the date of the when the form was filed or the date i sign it eg; today?

If you are printing and filing by mail you use the date when you sign the form.  If you efile the date is filled in automatically when you submit the file.

If you are e-filing a tax return then a paper tax return is not filed so there is no need to physically sign the tax return.

What are you trying to do?    Are you being asked for a signed copy of your tax return by a lender, a school, etc?
