 Did you efile, or did you print, sign, and mail the return?

If you efiled, double-check with this tool to be sure the return was efiled successfully and accepted:

If that showed it was accepted (or if you mailed the return), what do you see at the IRS website below for the status of your Federal refund?

If that IRS tool shows that the refund has been sent, please report back for more info.  

If the IRS tool says it is still "being processed",  then since it's been longer than 21 days, we can tell you how to speak to someone at the IRS to see if they can tell you anything about the delay.

E-file, I double checked, Tax topic 152, and it is still processing. I cannot call since it's my boyfriend refund even though I'm on there as a dependent. He can't call either at the moment, for reasons I would not like to discuss on here. I am not trying to be rude but I know someone is going to ask why he can't. State refund was taking immediately since we always donate it to the military.
