How long did the verifying process take would I need my W2 form? I appreciate the update guys I still haven't got my letter good to know someone getting some light on this

When they said call later I literally pressed 1 for English and told me try again ; called right back was on hold for 10-15 mins then spoke to someone.

The process only takes about 10 minutes.  You need this year's and last year's w2 @jayc9957 along with other personal info that'd you'd know mothers maiden name stuff like that

So, basically, anyone that is getting the message of "We can not provide any information about your refund" Has to be verified or receive a letter in the mail? I was able to check my status up until Friday the 15th Which only said "received and it's being processed"  Which is the first bar. Then Saturday came and I go that message and I wasn't able to see anything anymore then, I call and the same message.  When I enter the day it was filed it gives me this message "Please read the following information related to your tax situation:
Tax Topic 152, Refund Information  I am so confused an lost!

Oh okay I'm trying to figure if I would need my W2 or do they ask for my AGI for the verification I may have to order my old W2s but I know turbo tax keeps my AGI from recent years

@jayc9957 they want the amount you made the amount deducted for federal taxes and the company or person who your got the w2 for. So whoever you worked for pretty much. And @mfuentes_1981 pretty sure everyone whos getting this will have to go through verification process

@bpate1993 yeah I went crazy my w2s are all on the internet so I was jumping from website to website to get the info and the internet decided to be slow at that point.  @jayc9957 i'm sure you'll get the notice this week is so dumb you have to wait for a piece of paper to do it

Everyone please understand that the IRS will not ask everyone the same questions. If you’re married or have filed married in recent years you will have to provide information about your spouse/ex. They may not ask about previous returns or your current return at all. It varies for each call. I’ve had to verify the past 3-4 years and they’ve never asked me the same questions. Please read my previous comments to see all the information you should have readily available when calling to verify.
