I'm a student, can my refund be deposited into my parents bank account?

I looked up this question on frequently asked questions. One answer was no, the account had to be in my name. The other was yes as long as I entered the account and routing number. Which answer is correct?

Do not try to have your refund put into an account that does not have your name on it. The bank will reject the refund and send it back to the IRS. Then the IRS will issue a paper check and mail it to the address you put on your tax return.
