Direct deposit was put in wrong account irs isn't helpful what do I do

The IRS deposited the refund into the account you indicated on your federal tax return,  If there is an issue with the account after the refund was direct deposited that is now between you and the bank.

Please clarify how your direct deposit got put in the wrong account. The previous replies, from DoninGA and xmasbaby0, assume that you entered the wrong account number when you filed your tax return. Is that what happened? If so, see the previous replies. If not, what did happen that caused your direct deposit to go to the wrong account? How do you know that it was put in the wrong account?

Did you use the option to have your TurboTax fees paid from your refund?
