Claimed as dependent without my knowledge, checked "independent" on return form, return rejected 3 times by IRS, can't amend information

A parent claimed me as dependent on their e-filed return without my knowledge, so when I went to e-file as an independent, it was rejected 3 times and won't allow me to amend the information to say dependent.

You cannot amend a tax return that has not been filed.

To change your dependency you go to the My Info section of the program and edit your personal information to indicate that you are a dependent.

To access your current or prior year online tax returns sign onto the TurboTax website with the userID you used to create the account - https://myturbotax.intuit.com/

When you sign onto your online account and land on the Tax Home web page, scroll down and click on Add a state.

This will take you back to the 2019 online tax return.  Click on My Info.  Make your corrections.  Click on File.

You complete your tax return by finishing all 3 Steps in the File section. In Step 3, to e-file your tax return, you must click on the large Orange button labeled "Transmit my returns now".

After completing the File section and e-filing your tax return you will receive two emails from TurboTax. The first email when your tax return was transmitted and the second email when the tax return has either been accepted or rejected.
