Changing status from married to single on turbo tax program

I am preparing my 2020 tax return on my turbotax program on my laptop.  I made an error by declaring that I am married.  Continued with my return and am attempting to change status from married to single.  Program won't allow to make changes even if I go to "Forms" and try to Delete the worksheet but still no resolution.

Can't you go up to Personal at the top and edit your info?  It should be easy.  It should be the first menu tab.  What version do you have?  It should have tabs like Personal, Federal, State etc across the top.

Or you could start over in a new return.  Go up to File-New.

You must change the MARITAL status  in the personal info tab to get the FILING status to change ... and if you have already efiled the 2020 return and are now amending the return then changing the filing status from married to single cannot be done unless you fraudulently claimed the married filing jointly status.

in forms view,  there is a form called 'info wks'.  Launch that and about 1/3 of the way down you'll see the check boxed for the filing status. Just change it.
