Your parents can use the tool at the following link on the IRS web site to determine whether they can claim you as a dependent. (Or you can use it and answer the questions as if your were your parents.)
Whom May I Claim as a Dependent?
What you do in 2022 has no effect on whether your parents can claim you as a dependent for 2021. If you are 19 or older at the end of 2021, you were not a student or disabled, and your 2021 income is $4,300 or more, your parents cannot claim you as a dependent.
If you are under 19 at the end of 2021, you lived with your parents for more than half the year, you did not provide more than half of your own support for the year, and you are not married, then your parents can claim you as a dependent no matter how much your income was.
If you will be older than 19 at the end of 2021 and are not a full-time student you cannot be claimed as a dependent if you have had income of more than $4300---not counting Social Security.
