Can I upload an unfinished return saved 2 my comp for this year 2 Turbo Tax online? I.e I saved down an unfinished 2020 return on my comp

I cleared my old file data on TT online, but saved down an in-proccess return for this year (2020) before doing so. I now want to use that 2020.tax file for Turbo Tax online to use for this years' taxes. All I see are options to upload last years' return (which I don't have).

Unfortunately, you would only be able to open that file within TurboTax Desktop 2020, not within TurboTax Online. Please see the FAQ link provided below for assistance:

May I ask why you did that?  You cleared your online return?  The only way to use the .tax2020 file you downloaded is to open it in the installed Desktop CD/Download program.

After you get the program installed the first thing to do before you open your tax return is to update the program and install any state programs you had. Then open your file. So you first might need to start a fake return to be able to download the state program (go to File-New Tax Return).

Then go to FILE -Open and find your return.
