Can I amend my return? It seems my only income being reported is from doordash. Which is odd because when I used TurboTax I only used the w2s I had from 2 other employers

I was just now able to gain access to my 1099nec. It has been a nightmare and this is the first time I did my taxes on my own so I've already filed. What do I do? Please help.

If you received a tax form with income in 2021 that was not reported on the 2021 tax return that you filed then you will have to amend the tax return to add the income.

An amended return, Form 1040-X, can only be printed and mailed to the IRS if the original tax return was not e-filed. The IRS will take up to 16 weeks or longer to process an amended tax return.

Before starting to amend the tax return, wait for the tax refund to be received or the taxes due to be paid and processed by the IRS.

The federal amended tax return, Form 1040-X, for tax year 2021 is estimated to be available in TurboTax on 03/17/2022

Okay, but I e-filed. And the only employer it shows on my my state and tax refund is doorddash. when I did my taxes I only used w2s from the two other businesses I worked for in 2021 as I'm never done my taxes before and it took me up until today to gain access to my 1099-nec. On my 1040 form it only list doordash as my employer. Does that just mean my current employer?

As stated by Champ DoninGA, if you received additional tax documents reporting income for 2021 after you filed your 2021 tax return, then you will have to amend your return to include the additional income.

That being said, your Federal Form 1040 should not show any employer name on the return.  Only the income is reported on your actual Federal tax forms.  Certain states do show an employer name as part of their tax return, so that may be where you are seeing Doordash listed.  As you went through your state return you probably entered Doordash as your current employer even though you had not entered income from that work.

If you had income reported on two W-2s and that is what you entered into your return before you filed it, then later you will need to amend your return to include your Doordash income reported on Form 1099-NEC.

The income reported on Form 1099-NEC is considered to be self-employment income because you are working as an independent contractor for Doordash and not their employee.  You will need to add Schedule C to your tax return when you do the amended return.  You will claim your 1099-NEC income and also any related expenses that you had based on the work you performed.
