When calling the IRS do NOT choose the first option re: "Refund", or it will send you to an automated phone line.
So after first choosing your language, then do NOT choose Option 1 (refund info). Choose option 2 for "personal income tax" instead.
Then press 1 for "form, tax history, or payment".
Then press 4 "for all other questions."
Then press 2 "for all other questions."
- When it asks you to enter your SSN or EIN to access your account information, don’t enter anything.
- After it asks twice, you will get another menu.
Then press 2 for personal or individual tax questions.
It should then transfer you to an agent.

I field in time. I told my friend that did my taxes. I sell stuff on Craigslist. So she put I have a business. With my electronic check getting sent back I automatically got audited they wanted to see my business license and they said that I didn't make enough money to be head of household but I was head of household I paid for my own food I lived in rent cheap for my uncle I pay utilities and when I was gathering all the information for my kids school the house got robbed and they took all my paperwork and everything out of there and that it was just too much to redo lost emails
I don't remember the exact number I was of my return so without that I kept getting nowhere from the IRS and TurboTax
